Our editors accept CD submissions for review consideration. We try to make certain that all submissions are considered for the limited review space available. We would prefer two CDs (one to go to the reviewer, one for use in house like cover shots, sampling, etc.). Please make certain that you include contact information.

Music Rating System

Being a self proclaimed Audiophile, there are a few things that I do to “listen” to the CD’s submitted. I also do this with my own recording projects. When I receive the CD I listen to it before studying the Pictures, artwork and other material sent with the CD. First I run through each track briefly on a cheap CD player. This is just to get an idea of the music and quality of sound the CD recording produced. The next effort is I go on with my day and later take a drive and listen to the CD in my car. I see how the music feels while doing something I enjoy. Then I take a look at the CD Jacket and the band Bio the website or my space. I listen through the week to the CD. The next opportunity before I write, I “listen” to the CD on a $400 pair of Sony head Phones.

Here I really listen! Then I go back and dissect what I thought I heard. I feel its important to really listen before I pass judgment. Listening on different audio systems of varying quality’s really helps to get an idea of what you the listener might here.

I have developed a CD rating system and I reserve the right to change it at will, without notice! I don’t want to give any bad reviews but I may offer some thoughts or insight that may improve my opinion about the songs or album in review. I fear if I am too aggressive in my opinion that there will be less CDs to review and that what goes around comes around applies here! LOL. So please remember that this is my own personal opinion!

The rating system is 1 to 10 with 10 being the best and 1 the worst! Please don’t expect to get a 10 or a 1. They are reserved for special music. Only truly deserving music will be given these ratings! LOL.
